ELECTROMAGNETIC METHODOLOGY

Eurekos uses for Electromagnetic sounding a AEMP 14 system supported by RTK -GPS navigation and positioning system. The methodology is a powerful tool for the study of the first 7-8 metres of the subsoil and is based on the detection of peculiarities of spatial distribution of electromagnetic fields induced in the electrically inhomogeneous subsoil by the equipment.
The adequate processing of recorded data gives the possibility to get quantitative information about the geometric dimensions (size, depth) and electric parameters the “anomalies” and also their dynamics.
The AEMP-14 device operates in the field of “Frequency domain” electromagnetic induction; it generates 14 different frequencies allowing the subdivision of subsoil in slices down to max 8-10 metres.
Typical applications are:
  • Archaeological survey;
  • UXO determination;
  • Subsurface tunnels and cavities investigations;
  • Quantitative assessment of water saturation or salinity of the ground;
  • Assessment of HC waste in the ground;
  • Searching both fresh and salty water source;
  • Searching and localization of burial place of industrial waste;
  • Source and volumes of water leakage in water supply;
  • Source and volumes of fuel/oil leakage in subsurface fuel tanks/pipelines;
  • Definition of places of a lining of metal pipes and cables;
  • Detailed exploration of ore bodies;
  • Environmental monitoring of dumping liquid mineralized waste.
