the Enguri dam

       Enguri dam is the largest arch dam in the world:

•  Located in the Enguri river at an altitude of 240 m a.s.l.
•  Built by Georgian Company Hydromsheni
•  Entered in temporary operation in 1978, finished on 1987
•  271,5 m tall, 750 m wide
•  4 Millions mc of concrete
•  1,2 Billions of mc for the basin
•  14,5 km of high pressure tunnel 9,5 m in diameter
•  5 generators units Francis type in underground power plant
•  275 Mw each
